It is a really unique occasion to discover the evolution of it will give lodging to 80 masterpieces of Venetian Vedutisti and not, coming from 40 of the greatest museums of the world: the Ermitage, the Prado, the Kunsthistorisches museum in Vienna, the Louvre in Paris, the Puskin in Moscow.

Noble simplicity calm grandeur. Exhibition about Canova’s portraits - POSSAGNO (TV) –
from 11th October 2008 to 6th January 2009

One of the most important exhibitions about Canova since the last years. Besides the permanent collection in Canova’s house and Gipsoteca, around 40 portraits – painted or carved – and more than 50 engravings come to Possagno from the major museums of Europe. Furthermore, the “Vase” with the right Hand of the Sculptor comes to Possagno from the Accademia of Venezia, before being rejointed to the corpse, which is in the church Tempio of Possagno.

The exhibition’s curator, Francesco Bonami, Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, hopes that it will also bring a public which is not familiar with contemporary art closer to the artistic production of the last forty years.
