The road of white wine which is now more
appropriately called the road of Prosecco
wine was the first of its kind created in Italy, The roads snakes
for 47 Km through the hills of the Treviso province, including those
of Conegliano, Feletto, quartier del Piave and Valdobbiadene, down
the Prealpi. Starting from the piazza of the Castello di Conegliano,
the road leads to Valdobbiadene crossing through the towns of Costa,
Rua and san Pietro di Feletto, Refrontolo, Solighetto, Col San martino
and San Pietro di Barbozza. The road has been describt as a poetic
wandering through charming wine clad hills, because of the exquisite
panorama dotted with delightful villages featuring old world inns
and trattorias housings ritonde fireplaces where local folk still
gather around to socialize and discuss the day's events.
